Founded in 1867, the Western Reserve Historical Society (WRHS) shares the dynamic stories of Northeast Ohio and beyond - stories of the people, the artifacts and the archives that are the provenance for our region. Today, WRHS operates seven sites throughout Northeast Ohio, including the Cleveland History Center in University Circle and Hale Farm & Village in Bath, Ohio. Through exhibitions, programs and experiences, WRHS shares our mission with the community - To inspire people to discover the American experience by exploring the tangible history of Northeast Ohio.
WRHS is a Smithsonian Affiliate and is a member of the America 250-Ohio Commission commemorating the semiquincentennial of the United States in 2026
