Middlefield Historical Society owns and operates a complex of buildings. The 1818 Century Inn museum is the oldest known standing structure in Middlefield. Middlefield's 1910 depot houses a railroad museum open June, July and August, where volunteers serve a variety of ice cream treats from an authentic 1920s-era soda fountain. Also on the grounds are a B&O caboose, Middlefield's time capsule and an Ohio historical marker. Goals of the non-profit all-volunteer staff are Preservation, Restoration and Education. Museum open for special events or by appointment. Speaker available.
