The mission of the Maltz Museum promotes an understanding of Jewish history, religion, and culture and builds bridges of inquiry and appreciation between people of diverse religions, races, and ethnic backgrounds, serving as an educational resource for Northeast Ohio. The Museum features two core exhibitions: The Temple-Tifereth Israel Gallery and An American Story, which chronicles the immigrant experience, development of Cleveland, the Civil Rights Movement, and the Holocaust. Special exhibitions highlight the stories of those who take a stand against injustice and hate.
