Built in 1834, the Oldest Stone House Museum interprets the everyday lives of Lakewood residents from the 1830s to the 1870s. Focused on the period of development for East Rockport (Lakewood) from pioneer community to inner-ring suburb, the Oldest Stone House Museum uses the lens of the Honam/Hotchkiss family who built the house and supplied the lumber for the plank road, better known as Detroit Avenue. Seasonal hours are available on our website along with a full listing of special programming.
