The Allen Memorial Art Museum (AMAM) at Oberlin College comprises more than 15,000 works spanning 6,000 years from many of the world's cultures. Admission is free and open to all. Highlights of the collection include European and American paintings and sculptures; Asian works of art including a very fine collection of Japanese ukiyo-e prints; and a wide variety of modern and contemporary art. The museum also houses smaller but fine collections of African, Islamic, Indigenous, and ancient art, and the archives of the artist Eva Hesse.
