A branch of the Peninsula Library & Historical Society, the Cuyahoga Valley Historical Museum is located on the second floor of the Boston Township Hall. Built in 1887 as Peninsula High School, this building was designed by noted Cleveland architect John Eisenmann, co-designer of the Cleveland Arcade and designer of Ohio's state flag. The museum features exhibits and artifacts that document the history of the Cuyahoga Valley and is centered around the historic canal villages of Boston, Everett and Peninsula.
