Celebrate America’s good-time music! Audio exhibits and historic photos tell the story of the Cleveland-style Polka, the dance music that emerged from the city’s Slovenian and ethnic neighborhoods a century ago and became a national sensation after World War II when Frank Yankovic, America’s Polka King, got the country hopping. There’s a tale behind each of the thirty celebrity accordions on display. Music events include the Slovenian Sausage Festival, the Super Button Box Bash, the Thanksgiving Polka Weekend, and the Polka Awards Show. The gift shop features polka recordings and apparel.
